Ethno Macedonia music camp participants to give concert in Bitola

Bitola, 25 July 2025 (MIA) — Young musicians from four different continents, who are participating in the Ethno Macedonia international music camp, will give a concert of world music at the Officers’ Hall in Bitola at 9 pm.

Camp participants include music students from Serbia, Denmark, Finland, Croatia, Hungary, Peru, Sweden and Spain.

According to camp coordinator Verica Ajtovska, each year Ethno Macedonia participants meet for the first time at the beginning of the camp and over the course of ten days, they learn about and share music from their cultures.

“This camp has shown how music can be a powerful tool for connecting people, regardless of their origin, language or experience,” Ajtovska said ahead of the concert.

She said Ethno Macedonia not only encouraged “musical research and intercultural dialogue, but also presents Bitola as an open host city, where tradition and youthful energy create magic.” The concert closes the camp program. It is held as part of Bitola’s Ilinden Days festival, in cooperation with the Musical Youth of Macedonia.
