Kosovo spent about 5 percent more electricity in June of this year compared to the same period of 2022.

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) announces that during the month of June 2023, the gross electricity available was 454.79 GWh, while the consumption of electricity was 340.75 GWh, or 4.73% greater, compared to the same month of the previous year.

The share of alternative electricity in the overall consumption was 19.6%.

In the “Energy Statistics” report for the month of June 2023 of KAS, it is also stated that the production of coal was about 4.89 thousand tons, or 17.43% less than in the same month of the previous year.
