ZAGREB, 17 May (Hina) -В Consumer prices in Croatia increased by 3.7% in April 2024 compared with the same month last year, which is the lowest inflation rate since September 2021, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (DZS).
The DZS published its second estimate of the Consumer Price Index on Friday, according to which the inflation rate in April 2024 was 3.7% higher than in April 2023 and 0.7% higher than in March 2024. It thus confirmed its initial estimate released in late April.
After annual inflation stood at 4.1% for three months in a row, the April increase of 3.7% was the lowest since September 2021, when the inflation rate reached 3.3%.
The DZS also presented data on inflation measured by the Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP), which is a comparable measure of inflation in the European Union member states.
According to the HICP, the prices of goods and services for personal consumption in April 2024 roseВ by 1% from March 2024В and by 4.7% from April 2023.
