“Dying of laughter”, installation representing Albania in Milan

TIRANA, April 17 /ATA/ – An installation created by Albanian architects and artists Marin Nikolla and Denis Muça was showcased Slow Mill gallery on the occasion of Fuori Salone 2025 in Milan, Italy.

Entitled “Dying of Laughter,” a site-specific installation that blends art, culture and taste, the work presents contrast between absurdity and deep reflection.

The installation is a journey between collective memory and craftsmanship, between language and matter, with irony mixing with social reflection creating an immersive experience that tells the identity of a people and the transformative power of art.

The work explores and ironically addresses the paradoxes that live within humans. The artists tell their story through clay pots and a film shot from inside a pot. They present a short film where every sound comes from the pot itself.

The entire week will be animated by a rich program of collateral events – including performances, tastings, talks and cinema – that celebrate the best of contemporary Albanian culture.

The initiative is supported by the Albanian Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Culture, within the international project “CulturaAlb – Albanian days in the world”.
