Podgorica, (MINA) – The Ministry of Defense (MOD), with the support of the General Staff of the Montenegrin Armed Forces (MCG), is ready to support the development of new products and their potential integration into the equipment of the Montenegrin Army in order to strengthen the capacities of the domestic defense industry, the Ministry has announced.

Minister of Defense Dragan Krapovic visited on Wednesday the Montenegrin company “Tara Aerospace” in Mojkovac, which is specialized on the production of weapons and military equipment.

The Ministry of Defense stated that during the visit, representatives of the Ministry and the VCG General Staff were introduced to the company’s current and future projects, as well as its plans for the development of new products.

“In order to strengthen the capacities of the domestic defense industry, the Ministry of Defense, with the support of the General Staff, has expressed its readiness to support the development of new products as well as their possible integration into the equipment of the Montenegrin Armed Forces”, the press release reads.

According to the press release, Krapovic also visited the production facilities of the Poliex company in Berane. “During the visit, the long-term cooperation was highlighted, especially in the matter of solving the surplus of weapons, through the delaboration process”, the announcement says.
