Defence Minister Nikos Dendias visited on Wednesday (Christmas) the city of Alexandroupolis accompanied by the Hellenic Army General Staff Chief Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis.
Dendias attended the Christmas liturgy, at the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos, under the patronage of His Eminence Metropolitan Anthimos of Alexandroupolis. After the Christmas liturgy, Nikos Dendias met with Metropolitan Anthimos.
Afterwards, the Minister of National Defence, in the presence of the commander of the 4th Army Corps “Thrace” Lt. Gen. Stavros Papastathopoulos and the commander of the XII Mechanised Infantry Division “Evros” Lt. Gen. Ioannis Korres, visited the Kipi Bridge, where he exchanged wishes for the holiday of Christmas with the guards on the borders.
