Czech artists Petra Jovanovska, Vít Pavlík ‘In Conversation’ at Cultural and Information Center
Skopje, 17 September 2024 (MIA) — An exhibition of paintings and graphic art prints by Petra Jovanovska and Vít Pavlík from the Czech Republic opens Tuesday at the Cultural and Information Center and will be on display through Sept. 30.
According to organizers in a press release, the art show is titled “In Conversation.”
“The central element in Petra Jovanovska’s works is a circle that was not chosen at random. It represents a synthesis of her creative and life philosophy as well as the realization that a perfect form is without a beginning or an end. It is a symbol of the cycle of life,” organizers said.
“Jovanovska prints her thoughts, emotions and views of the world in circles,” they said, adding that the artist works in different media and uses various graphic techniques to achieve a balance of geometric shapes in their composition, tone, color, and structure.
According to the release, Vít Pavlík’s art explores intense feelings and experiences through vivid colors that reflect personal stories.
“One of the most beautiful aspects of his art is its openness and ability to evoke different feelings, emotions and thoughts in anyone who encounters it,” the Cultural and Information Center says, adding that the exhibition was conceived to be an artistic conversation between the two Czech artists.
