Cyprus has concluded its participation in the 78th Frankfurt International Book Fair —held from October 7 to 11, 2026— marked by a flurry of activity, significant meetings, and substantive contacts with publishers from various countries. This year, the fair, which featured a programme of 3,800 events, attracted 236,000 visitors.
The Deputy Ministry of Culture said in a press release on Wednesday that “the Cypriot stand, located in Hall 3.1, Stand C83, served as a hub for meeting and exchanging ideas, creating opportunities for new collaborations and promoting the international visibility of Cypriot publishing output.”
It further added that “particular emphasis was placed on promoting Cypriot literature, exploring possibilities for translating and publishing Cypriot works in other languages, and connecting Cypriot creators and publishers with the international book market.”
Cyprus was represented by Nikoletta Maratheftou, on behalf of the Contemporary Culture Department of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, as well as Elias Epiphaniou, Charis Ioannides, and Giorgos Savva, on behalf of the Cyprus Publishers Association.
