Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In the first nine months, the Revenue and Customs Administration collected a total of €965 million in gross revenues, €79 million or nine percent more than in the same period last year.
“The revenue plan for the period from January to end-September has been exceeded by €17 million or two percent,” stated a press release issued by the customs authority.
According to the Customs Administration, the revenue collection trend was good in that period.
In terms of the structure of collected revenues, there was an increase in the collection of revenues across the board.
The most significant revenue growth was achieved from excise duties, which amounted to €285 million, which is €38.5 million, or 16 percent, more than in the same period last year.
Gross revenues from value-added tax (VAT) on imports amounted to €633 million, while customs duties collected totalled €45 million.
“Revenues coming from the coffee tax amounted to €2 million, while other revenues totalled €114,000,” the Customs Administration specified.
The total customs revenues collected for September amounted to €112.3 million, which is €6.73 million or 6.37 percent more compared to the same period last year.
