ZAGREB, 20 Jan (Hina) – The average monthly net wage paid per employee in legal entities in Croatia amounted to €1,498 in November 2025, which represents a nominal year-on-year increase of 9.7% and a real increase of 5.7%, according to data published by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Tuesday.

Compared with wages for October 2025, the average net wage in November was nominally higher by 1.9% and in real terms by 1.3%.

The highest average monthly net wage was paid in the air transport sector, amounting to €2,315, while the lowest was recorded in the manufacture of clothing, at €967.

According to the DZS, the median net wage for November stood at €1,278, meaning that half of employees earned less and half earned more than that amount.

Compared with October 2025, the median wage in November was 0.2% lower, while it was 10% higher than in November 2024.

“The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for November 2025 amounted to 2 093 euro, which represented a nominal increase of 2.3% and a real one of 1.7%, as compared to October 2025,” the DZS says on its website.

The average monthly gross wage in November 2025 were 10.2% higher in nominal terms and 6.2% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month in 2024.

For the period from January to November 2025, the average monthly net wage paid per employee in legal entities amounted to €1,445, which is nominally 10% higher and 6.1% higher in real terms compared with the same period in 2024.
