Croatia had more than 2.5m registered road vehicles in 2023

ZAGREB, 17 April (Hina) – There were 2,554,524 registered road motor vehicles in Croatia in 2023, 4% more than in 2022, according to data provided by the national statistical office (DZS).

The number of registered passenger cars stood at 1,910,131 in 2023, an increase of 3.8% compared to 2022.

The number of first registrations of road vehicles amounted to 190,063,В  or 28.6% more than in 2022.

In 2023, Croatia recorded 10,633 road traffic accidents with casualties, which was 6.3% more than in 2022.

A total of 274 persons were killed in road traffic accidents in 2023, which was 0.4% less than in 2022, while 14,204 people were injured, up 6.6% from 2022.
