Çeku: Powerful dedication from Emperor Justinian discovered at Ulpiana Archaeological Site
A discovery that shapes history, a powerful dedication from Emperor Justinian has been discovered at the Archeological Site of Ulpiana, said the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Hajrulla Çeku.
He has said that the team of archaeologists has discovered a monumental inscription of exceptional historical importance.
Çeku wrote that the inscription proves the closeness of the emperor to the province of origin.
“The team of archaeologists composed of Christophe Goddard, Arben Hajdari and Milot Berisha during scientific research have discovered a monumental inscription of exceptional historical importance from the Emperor Justinian (527-565) of the city of Justiniana Secunda, described as the city of Dardan, a city in the province of Dardania (created by his predecessor Diocletian at the beginning of the 4th century AD)”, Çeku wrote on Facebook.
