The last days of July in Kosovo are marking success in the field of culture and art.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Athua ëndërr ishe ti”(Were you a dream) opened the fourth edition of the Rame Lahaj International Opera Festival, where visual and musical art become one.
This exhibition features masterpieces by Rasim Merlaku, works by the best artists of Kosovo, some of whom are no longer among us. The inspiration of the title of the exhibition is taken from the song of the well-known group Minatori “Athua ëndërr ishe ti” which is related to the symbolism and poetics of this exhibition.
The special features of this exhibition this year are the hidden symbols of emotions such as nostalgia and love.
Arta Agani, curator of the exhibition, says that this exhibition is a step towards the development of the art market in Kosovo.
Agani told KosovaPress that the exhibition is very important for the country and the audience, because according to her, it is a rare occasion when musical and visual arts become one.
According to her, the exhibition will make history for the art of Kosovo, since it is the first time that a private collection is exhibited.
Besides being the works of eight well-known artists, most of whom are no longer with us, their works return with a different point of view.
The exhibition will be open to the public from July 22 to July 31 from 12:00 to 19:00. While the opera concert will be held in “Skanderbeg” square in Prishtina.
