Another person has died after being shot with a Taser by the Carabinieri, the third in Italy recently after one at the weekend and another last month.
A 47-year-old man of Albanian origins died in Sant’Olcese, on the hills above Genoa, on Sunday evening.
According to investigators, the taser may have caused the man to go into cardiac arrest.
Prosecutor Paola Calleri will open a case for manslaughter in the next few hours and order an autopsy.
The investigation is being handled by the Carabinieri unit at the Palace of Justice.
A 57-year-old Sardinian man died in an ambulance after being tasered outside an Olbia music festival on Saturday night.
The man, Gianpaolo Demartis, had attacked several people outside the venue, the Red Valley Festival, and continued to struggle with police trying to calm him down before he was tasered and suffered a cardiac
Demartis had a record for pushing drugs.

It’s not the first time it’s happened.
