Albanian Radio and Television orchestra gives a concert with pieces by Slovenian composer Bojan Adamič
TIRANA, May 23/ATA/ Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar paid a visit to Albanian Radio and Television and also attended a concert by its orchestra playing pieces by the well-known Slovenian composer Bojan Adamič.
In this concert, the Slovenian president was accompanied by President of the Republic Bajram Begaj.
Ethnomusicologist Vasil Tole, present at the concert, said that Bojan Adamič has made a special contribution to Albania and Kosovo in the field of music. According to Tole, Adamič’s orchestrations have been a model for the musical class of Kosovo composers, for how modern orchestration is composed with the idioms of folk music.
This concert by the Albanian Radio-Television Orchestra was considered as recognition of Adamic’s figure and contribution to Albanian music.
In addition to the Albanian Radio and Television, the Academy of Sciences has also remembered the Slovenian composer with several activities. Also, the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation and the International Book Center have supported and financed the publication of the book “Composer Bojan Adamič in Albania”.
