The Albanian Naval Forces participated in the “Neptune Strike 23” exercise along with 20 NATO allied countries.

Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi said today that the “Oriku” ship and its crew interacted in our territorial waters with the Spanish aircraft carrier “Juan Carlos” and the “Numancia” frigate.

3 helicopters and 2 planes were also part of the exercise. They supported from the air the special operations of the troops in the sea and the island of Sazan.

“Neptune Strike 23” aims to enforce legality at sea and coordinate actions during joint operations between NATO countries.
