During the meeting of the Commission for Europe of the World Tourism Organization, Albania has officially taken over the commitment to organize this event in Tirana next spring.
Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro wrote about this in a post in the social media.
“For the first time, we will host the meeting of the Commission for Europe of the World Tourism Organization, which coincides with the 70th meeting of the Commission for Europe, one of the most important events for 2024 that we will co-organize with the World Tourism Organization”, said Kumbaro.
Minister Kumbaro said that, “More than 40 tourism ministries from all over the European continent will participate in this meeting under the framework of ESTA2 (Forum of Environmental and Sustainable Tourism in Albania) with panels and other important topics”.
“We will transform Tirana into the epicenter of FESTA (Forum of Environmental Sustainable Tourism in Albania) for investments and sustainable development in tourism and the environment”, said Kumbaro.
Kumbaro is actually participating in the 25th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), which takes place from October 16-20 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
