Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Statistical Office, Monstat, will conduct the Agricultural Census from 1 October to 1 December of this year, in accordance with the law.
“The goal of the Agricultural Census is to provide internationally comparable data, both for further improvement of official agricultural statistics and for the development of policies aimed at creating sustainable agricultural policies,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.
According to the press release, the Agricultural Census is, by its scope and content, the most extensive and complex statistical survey in the field of agricultural statistics, conducted every ten years in accordance with uniform international standards.
“The Agricultural Census collects data on the number of agricultural holdings, the area of agricultural land by categories, livestock numbers by types and categories, individuals involved in agricultural production by gender, facilities for livestock accommodation, machinery, and equipment,” Monstat clarified.
The census will cover all agricultural holdings, including family farms and business entities, or other legal entities and entrepreneurs, that meet the conditions in accordance with the Law on the Agricultural Census.
