57 complaints were submitted to the Ombudsman’s institution last year to the behavior of the Police Administration, and the largest number of them was related to the allegations on inhuman and degrading behavior.

The Ombudsman institution tells MINA News Agency that the complains were also related to the right to good governance and legal protection.

They said that most complaints were submitted in Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Bar, Budva, Niksic, Pljevlja and Berane.

The Ombudsman’s institution stated that their representatives have visited on multiple occasions the Administration for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, reacting to the complaints from the detained and incarcerated individuals, as well as within the visits of the National Mechanism for the Prevention (NMP) of Torture.

“According to the complaints we received, we did not have any related to the abuse allegations”, the Ombudsman’s office stated.
