According to preliminary statistics released by Monstat, Montenegro saw 240,750 tourist arrivals in collective accommodation in August, which resulted 1.09 million overnight stays.

“Of the total number of nights spent in the collective accommodation, foreign tourists accounted for 92 percent and domestic ones for eight percent,” stated a press release issued by Monstat.

In August, 92.5 percent of the total number of nights were spent in the coastal region, 4.3 percent in the Capital City, two percent in the mountain regions, and 1.3 percent in other tourist destinations in Montenegro.

Сollective accommodation does not include the individual, so-called private accommodation in houses, rooms and apartments.

It includes hotels, resorts, inns, motels, holiday centres, hostels and camps.
