Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – A delegation from Montenegro, led by Minister of Finance Novica Vukovic and the Governor of the Central Bank Irena Radovic will participate in the regular Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, which will be held in Washington, D.C. from Wednesday to Saturday.
The Ministry of Finance stated in a press release that the Montenegrin delegation will have a series of meetings with senior IMF and World Bank officials, focusing on current issues in economic, fiscal, and monetary policy, with particular emphasis on strengthening public finances and the resilience of Montenegro’s financial system.
In addition to meetings with the heads of the IMF and the World Bank, Vukovic and Radovic will also hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from other countries, as well as with representatives of renowned financial institutions, funds, rating agencies, and investors.
The Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank bring together leaders from around the world – central bank governors, finance ministers, representatives of financial institutions, the private sector, academia, and civil society – to exchange views on key global economic challenges.
