Podgorica, Ulaanbataar, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro and Mongolia can strengthen cooperation in investment, tourism and transport, while an agreement between their chambers of commerce creates opportunities for more direct connections between companies and new business initiatives, it was concluded during Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic’s visit to the country.
In Ulaanbaatar, Milatovic met with Mongolian Prime Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar and Parliament Speaker Sandag Byambatsogt to discuss concrete steps for continuing relations between the two countries.
“The meetings were held following talks between Milatovic and Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh and the signing of a Joint Declaration, through which the two countries established the direction of future political, economic and institutional cooperation,” a press release said.
Milatovic said that the Joint Declaration had provided a clear direction for their bilateral relations.
“Now this political agreement needs to be followed by direct links between our institutions, companies and people,” Milatovic said.
The talks with Zandanshatar focused on economic ties, investment, tourism and transport.
“The discussions also addressed the completion of negotiations in the areas of air transport and international road transport, which should create better conditions for the development of tourism, trade and business contacts between the two countries,” the press release said.
