Podgorica, (MINA) – The work of the Government in the first 100 days in office is impressive, said Special Envoy for the Western Balkans of the French Republic Rene Troccaz, emphasizing that Montenegro has been delivering results and as such is a role model in the region.

The Government stated that Troccaz met with Prime Minister Milojko Spajic on Tuesday.

According to the press release, the collocutors agreed that the relations between Montenegro and France are at the highest level possible, as well as that the dynamic political dialogue will reflect on more successful economic cooperation.

“In this regard, as stated, the signing of the interstate agreement, agreed upon during the meeting between Spajic and President of France Emmanuel Macron, will make a strong contribution”, the press release adds.

The press release further states that Spajic introduced Troccaz with the EU integration related activities, adding that, if continued with this dynamic, a significant number of chapters could be closed by the end of the year.

Troccaz said that they have seen serious progress in Montenegro, adding that the census was implemented brilliantly, and that it is the model of political culture that should be nurtured.

He underscored the need of better roadway connectivity among the countries of the region, and that Montenegro’s role is very important in regard to preserving stability and further prosperity of Western Balkans.
