TIRANA, Sept 5 /ATA/ “Tracing the art of Taso” is titled the exhibition mounted on Tuesday evening at the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD) in the Council of Ministers seat.
The exhibition of artist Anastas Konstandini (Taso), curated by Rubin Kadiu, brought together at the opening ceremony many personalities of art, culture, screen but also politics and social life in the country, including Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The exhibition featuring Taso’s works explores the artist’s known and fantastical spheres and guides us through a narrative woven with symbols, colours and texture, revealing the essence of his creative spirit and manifesting its profound impact on the contemporary art scene.
Influenced by masters such as Picasso, Dalí and Kandinsky, Taso insists on blending tradition with what’s new, paving the way for his distinctive style.
Curator Rubin Kadiu says that by means of paintbrush strokes and overlapping coats, Taso turns canvases into living carpets, where light and shadow merge into a harmonic dance of contrasts.
Anastas Konstandini was born in Pogradec (29 July 1954), a city where he still lives today.
He graduated In 1978 from the Academy of Fine Arts in (Monumental Painting). One of the most famous works where Taso is co-author, is the mosaic “Albania” in the National Historical Museum. In 1991 he was awarded the title “Merited Painter”.
During his career, he has staged a series of individual and collective exhibitions.
