Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Prime Minister Milojko Spajic believes that life in Montenegro has never been better.
According to him, a continuous growth in citizens’ living standards is noticeable.
“There are comments of satisfaction and dissatisfaction, but we can all conclude that life in Montenegro has never been better. We can see it also through travels. Our citizens are everywhere in Europe and the world. However, this is not the end: citizens’ living standards will only continue to rise,” Spajic said, responding to journalists’ questions during the formal opening of the Cetinje-Cevo section on the Cetinje-Cevo-Niksic road.
He stated that the policy of the 44th Government was based on social equality and opportunities for better jobs, incomes, and pensions for everyone.
“We have average salaries over €1,000, minimum wages between €600 and €800, and minimum pensions of €450, which have now increased again after adjustments,” Spajic said.
When asked how satisfied he is with the preparation of the tourist season, considering the road infrastructure works, roadblocks, and unprepared beaches, Spajic said that he often criticized contractors for working much more in July and August than in the other
Speaking about the tender process for the concessions for Podgorica and Tivat airports, he said he asked all members of the Tender Commission to conduct the process transparently and competently, as recommended by the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). “I think so far we have very good cooperation with the World Bank and I would like this excellent cooperation to truly continue. We will soon receive reports from the Tender Commission together with IFC’s opinion,” Spajic concluded.
