Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic has said that Montenegro is an attractive destination, adding that the satisfaction of both tourists and local residents is important, as it directly impacts the overall impression of the country.
During ITB Berlin 2025, Kordic participated in the Ministerial Summit dedicated to improving the investment climate and shaping the future, where she stated that such investments had a unique ability to promote stability and peace by creating economic opportunities and strengthening cross-border cooperation and social cohesion.
“The idea is not to destroy what we have to offer to tourists. The goal is to preserve an authentic and pleasant experience. Like other Mediterranean countries, we recognize that it is a challenge to preserve these advantages during the peak summer season. As the line ministry, we are working to extend the season beyond these months,” said Kordić.
She mentioned that Montenegro had incredible potential outside the coastal areas, such as in the hinterland and the north, where efforts were being made to promote active tourism based on enjoying nature.
The event gathered together over 20 high-ranking representatives of countries and international organizations The platform, organized by ITB Berlin and UN Tourism, explores solutions for economic resilience, peace, and sustainability, based on tourism investments.
