Saranda continues to be the favorite destination for tourist cruise ships even this year.

The director of Saranda port, Alket Qendro, told ATA on Tuesday that “from January through to the end of October, 25 cruisers have arrived at the Port of Saranda, of which 10 are cruise ships and 15 are smaller ships.”

“15,294 tourists alone have arrived at the port by cruise ship, while 4,401 tourists have arrived by small ship,” Qendro said.

According to him, the novelty this year is the arrival of cruises even during the month of November.

“Earlier November, the cruise ship “Nieuw Statendam” arrived at the port with 2,497 tourists of various nationalities, English, Canadian, Dutch, etc., “ Qendro added.

The director of the port of Saranda announced that “in November we expect other cruises to visit the coastal city.”

In recent years, Saranda has become one of the most favorite tourist destinations for foreign tourists who visit our country on cruises.

Tourists who come by cruise have visited the touristic and archaeological sites of Saranda, Gjirokastra, as well as tasted the local traditional cuisine.
