Output meet consumption demand

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The total electricity output in Montenegro amounted to 3,450 gigawatt-hours (GWh) last year, which is 4.36 percent more than the gross consumption of 3,300 GWh.

“The annual output met the total domestic demand, resulting in a surplus of 143.84 GWh,” states the energy balance report for 2024, published by the relevant ministry.

Out of the total electricity output, 2,100 GWh was generated from renewable energy sources (RES), and 1,340 GWh by the Pljevlja Thermal Power Plant (TPP).
