Podgorica, (MINA) – There are 170,247 families in Montenegro, with the majority comprising three to five members, according to 2023 census data released by the Statistics Administration – Monstat.
The results of the most recent 2023 census show that the number of families consisting of married or unmarried couples with children, regardless of the children’s age, make up 133,825 households or 78.60 percent.
According to the number of family members, families with three to five members are the most represented and they make up 60.69 percent of the total number of families.
“The share of families with two members is 36.47 percent, while there are only 2.84 percent of families with six or more members in the total structure of families”, stated Monstat.
