Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Government has proposed a decision on determinig the annual number of temporary residence and work permits for foreigners for the upcoming year, amounting to 28,990 permits.

“The annual quota for the next year is set at a total of 28,990 permits,” the Government stated in the press release issued after a Cabinet meeting.

The government also stated that 5,000 permits from the annual quota were allocated for specific purposes, which could be additionally distributed by the state administration body responsible for labour affairs according to labour market needs, at the request of the Employment Office.

“Permits are awarded from the annual quota, specifically 21,620 permits for the employment of foreigners, and 2,370 permits for seasonal employment of foreigners,” the press release states.

The decision will come into effect on 1 January 2025.
