More than 70 thousand visitors stayed in Kosovo’s hotels during June of this year, marking an increase of 10.6 percent compared to the same month last year.

According to data published on Friday by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS), a total of 70,234 visitors were registered in June 2026, of whom 28,638 were domestic visitors and 41,596 were foreign visitors, KosovaPress reports.

In June 2025, the total number of hotel visitors stood at 63,502.

An increase was also recorded in the number of overnight stays. During June, 163,739 overnight stays were registered, compared to 138,941 in the same period last year.

Of these, 85,783, or 52.4 percent, were made by foreign visitors, while 77,956, or 47.6 percent, were made by domestic visitors.

Regarding foreign visitors only, their number increased by 5.2 percent compared to June 2025, rising from 39,555 to 41,596.

The largest number of foreign visitors came from Albania. During June, Kosovo’s hotels hosted 7,628 visitors from this country, 13 percent more than a year earlier.

Albania was followed by Germany with 4,300 visitors, Turkey with 3,979, and Switzerland with 3,121.

The biggest increase among these countries was recorded among visitors from Turkey. Their number rose by 36.4 percent, from 2,917 in June 2025 to 3,979 in June this year.

Even more significant was the increase in overnight stays by visitors from Turkey, which rose by 72.1 percent. They recorded 7,989 overnight stays, compared to 4,642 a year earlier.

Meanwhile, visitors from Albania recorded 16,644 overnight stays, marking an increase of 41.9 percent compared to June 2025.
