Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Executive Director of Monteput Milan Ljiljanic and Acting Director of Roads of Serbia Zoran Drobnjak have signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of the E-763 motorway, Belgrade–Southern Adriatic, between Pozega–Boljare and Matesevo–Boljare.

According to a press release issued by Monteput, the signing of the memorandum was preceded by a visit to the construction site of the Pakovrace–Pozega section.

“The memorandum defines joint activities, the exchange of information of importance for all stages of design and construction, the preparation of terms of reference, and joint applications for funding the motorway construction from domestic and international institutions and donors,” stated the press release.

Additionally, the memorandum outlines participation in working groups and intergovernmental commissions to define the contact point of the motorway at the border and the model for the border crossing between Montenegro and Serbia.

“By carrying out the activities outlined in the Memorandum, we contribute to a closer cooperation among the relevant ministries aimed at constructing the planned sections,” said Ljiljanic.

He stated that, in addition to key points related to the design, contracting, and construction of sections aimed at completing the Belgrade-South Adriatic motorway, the memorandum also addressed measures to increase traffic safety, protect the environment, and further improve the interoperability of the toll collection system.
