Skopje, 25 March 2024 (MIA) — Macedonian writers Sande Stojchevski, Marina Mijakovska, and Stefan Markovski will read their works in two high schools to mark Day of European Authors, which celebrates European literature and encourages interest in reading.

Taking place in 40 Creative Europe countries on March 25, the Day od European Authors is aimed at inspiring younger generations to explore the richness of European literature and promoting linguistic diversity in Europe.

The event is organized by the European Writers’ Council and consists of reading events in schools, libraries and bookstores across Europe.

Stojchevski, Mijakovska and Markovski will read their works in Gevgelija’s Josif Josifovski High School and Skopje’s Rade Jovchevski Korchagin to an audience of Macedonian language teachers and students.
