Law declaring 2026 as Constantin Brancusi Year, promulgated

President Nicusor Dan promulgated on July 24 the law declaring 2026 as the Constantin Brancusi Year.

Next year marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of trailblazing modernist sculptor Constantin Brancusi.

In this context, Parliament, the Presidential Administration, the Government, local public authorities, and public institutions under their authority or coordination may organize or provide logistical and material support for cultural, artistic, or educational events dedicated to celebrating the life and work of the renowned artist.

They may allocate funds from their own budgets for the proper organization and unfolding of the events, within the limit of approved budget allocations, the bill also states.
