The Greek Merchant Fleet increased by 0.8% in May 2025 compared with May 2024, according to provisional data announced by Greece’s independent statistical agency ELSTAT on Friday.

It noted that an increase of 0.2% was recorded in May 2024 compared with May 2023.

The gross tonnage of the Greek merchant fleet, for vessels of 100 GRT and over, recorded a decrease of 3.5% in May 2025 compared with May 2024. A decrease of 3.5% was recorded in May 2024 compared with May 2023, the announcement added.
