Bulgarian schools abroad and schools in Bulgaria are already making it possible for Bulgarian children around the world to get to know one another, work together and remain connected, Rayna Mandzhukova, Executive Director of the Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, said at the opening of the Talents Without Borders international exhibition in Sofia on Tuesday.
Mandzhukova emphasized that more than 25 years after the first Bulgarian schools abroad were established, a strong global network has emerged, helping schools collaborate and connect young Bulgarians both abroad and at home. She credited literary competitions and education initiatives for strengthening these ties and thanked the Education and Science Ministry for supporting programmes that preserve Bulgarian language, culture and identity.
She also expressed gratitude to teachers, parents and organisers, adding that “our children, whether born in Bulgaria or abroad, are the children of Bulgaria.”
The exhibition features nearly 250 works by students from 14 Bulgarian schools abroad and runs until July 30.
