Eastern European Feline Championship hosted by Romexpo exhibition centre September 28-29
The first edition of the Eastern European Feline Championship, called “Black Sea Winner”, where some of the most awarded cats in the world will be brought, will take place, over the weekend, at the Romexpo exhibition centre in Bucharest.
According to a press release of the National Felinological Federation on Tuesday, the championship will take place between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm.
The public will be able to watch and support during the competition some of the most awarded cats in the world, from various breeds: Abyssinian, Russian Blue, Bengalese, British Shorthair, British Longhair, Chartreaux, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Exotica, Maine Coon, Neva Masquerade, Norwegian Forest, Oriental, Persian, Ragdoll, Siberian, Singapura and Sphinx.
For the first time in the competition there will also be a specimen from the Somali race, which holds the title of world champion. Eight cats – world champions – are entered in the competition.
Among the feline champions premiered in Romania is the Sweet Dreams motan. This is the most successful feline champion in the world, a white specimen of the Persian breed.
Domestic cats also participate in the contest, in a category especially created for them.
As always, at the SofistiCAT Feline Salon events, a special place is occupied by the area of cats for adoption.
The event is organized by the SofistiCAT Feline Show and the Romanian National Felinological Federation, under the aegis of the Federation Internationale Feline and brings together breeders from 14 European countries.
