The Non-Performing Loans (NPL) ratio of the Cypriot banking sector remained unchanged at 1.6% at the end of June 2026, according to aggregate data published on Thursday by the Central Bank of Cyprus, with reference date June 30, 2026.
The NPL ratio, based on the methodology applied in the European Banking Authority’s Risk Dashboard, including loans and advances to central banks and credit institutions, remained at the same level as in March 2026. At the same time, the NPL coverage ratio with provisions for impairment increased to 64.9%, from 62.7% in March.
Total restructured loans stood at €0.7 billion at the end of June, of which €0.3 billion continued to be classified as NPLs.
