Customs revenues increase by 9.6 percent

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In the first eleven months, the Revenue and Customs Administration collected a total of €1.18 billion in gross revenues, €104 million or 9.6 percent more than in the same period last year.

“The revenue plan for the period from January to end-November has been exceeded by €19.2 million or approximately two percent,” stated a press release issued by the customs authority.

In terms of the structure of collected revenues, the most significant growth was achieved from excise duties, which amounted to €351.1 million, which is €50.5 million, or 16.8 percent, more compared to the same period last year.

Gross revenues from value-added tax (VAT) on imports amounted to €775.2 million, while tariff revenues totalled €55.1 million.

Revenues coming from the coffee tax amounted to €2.4 million, while other revenues totalled €160,000,” the Customs Administration specified.

The total customs revenues collected for November amounted to €103.18 million, which is €12.96 million or 14.36 percent more compared to the same period last year.
