ZAGREB, 28 May (Hina) – Croatian businesses subject to corporate income tax recorded a consolidated net financial profit of €9.9 billion in 2024, representing a 14.6% increase compared to 2023, according to data published by the Financial Agency (FINA) on Wednesday.

A total of 110,274 businesses, or 68%, reported profits amounting to €12.6 billion in total, while 51,861 businesses, or 32%, recorded losses totaling €2.7 billion.
Compared to 2023, entrepreneurs achieved an 11.8% increase in period profit, while period losses rose by 2.5%, resulting in a consolidated net profit of €9.9 billion.
Last year, businesses generated total revenues of €169.7 billion, marking a 6.2% increase from 2023, while total expenditures rose by 5.7%, reaching €157.8 billion.
According to FINA, 26,767 businesses (16.5%) exported their products and services to foreign markets.
Revenue from the sale of goods abroad amounted to €33.3 billion, reflecting a 0.9% rise in exports compared to 2023.
In the same period, goods worth €30.6 billion were imported, resulting in a trade surplus of €2.7 billion.
