TIRANA, November 20/ATA/ In Tirana, there is being held the second edition of the Nomad Digital Festival. This event brings together digital nomads around the world, professionals, entrepreneurs, innovators and all young people currently exploring the world of distance work, or dreaming of such work.
Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj said that he is proud that such festivals take place in Tirana, which is becoming all-embracing more and more.
“It is a great pleasure that the second edition of the Festival of Digital Nomads is taking place in Tirana as an extraordinary trend that has involved all of present-day Europe, especially after the Covid, and where many of the jobs can be done remotely. Today, Tirana is number one in the Balkans with 3000 digital nomads, with professional people who have knowledge, not just people who do manual work, but people who do the jobs of the future. Not only do they live well in Tirana, but the knowledge they spread and the fact that the local ecosystem of many of the companies, many of the start-ups, is inspired by digital nomads, is something extraordinary. We definitively promote Tirana while we are certainly preparing to be the Mediterranean Capital of Culture next year. A large part of digital nomads will be involved in cultural activities. Moreover, it is great to think that we grew up in a city where there used to be only one nationality, but today we are living in a city that has over 140 or so nationalities. This means that something is moving in Tirana. We would like to continue this journey with all this positive energy, to be truly a cosmopolitan city for everyone”, said Veliaj.
Attendees explored the future of work, technology and global connectivity with dynamic speakers and sessions featuring inspiring success stories.
