Citizens surrender over 3900 weapons

Podgorica, (MINA) – Since the beginning of the year, citizens of Montenegro have voluntarily surrendered 3,963 weapons and more than 130,000 pieces of ammunition to the police, the Police Administration announced.

According to the press release, as part of the “Respect Life, Return Weapons” campaign, citizens also handed in 440 hand grenades, as well as hundreds of weapon pieces and explosive devices.

“In the past three weeks, 21 firearms, 214 rounds of ammunition, one hand grenade and various weapon parts were voluntarily handed over across municipalities in Montenegro”, the press release said.
