Nine-year-old Bulgarian singer Elizabeth Visio won a gold medal at the Magia Italiana music competition in the Italian city of Rimini, her father, composer George Visio, said on Thursday.

At the awards ceremony, Elizabeth performed the song Bangaranga together with 130 children from all participating countries. The song of Darina Yotova (Dara) won the 2026 Eurovision song contest.

The competition brought together young performers from 15 European countries, as well as participants from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Philippines.

The event was organized by the Karnolsky Art Centre under the auspices of Bulgaria’s Honorary Consul for the Emilia-Romagna Region, Franco Castellini, who presented Elizabeth with the gold medal and a special diploma signed and stamped by the Bulgarian consular service in Italy.

Elizabeth thanked the audience in Italian after receiving the award.

The victory is Elizabeth’s fifth international title, following wins in Limassol in June 2025, Zagreb in March 2026, Trieste in April 2026, and Thessaloniki in May 2026.
