SARAJEVO, September 19 (FENA) – During the first six months of 2025, a total of 10,831 births were registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, showing a decrease of 2.79 percent compared to the same period in 2024. In the same period, 18,162 deaths were recorded, representing an increase of 5.14 percent compared to the first half of 2024.
During the first six months of 2025, 6,129 marriages were registered in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a decrease of 4.13 percent compared to the same period in 2024, announced the Agency for Statistics of BiH.
In the same period, 1,009 divorces were recorded, representing a decrease of 5.44 percent compared to the first half of 2024.
The reporting units for collecting statistical data on births, deaths, and marriages are the civil registry offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while data on divorces are collected from courts competent for divorce proceedings in the country.
