Balluku visits Cyber Security Operational Center: Digitalization is our priority

The Cyber Security Operational Center monitors in real time all cyber threats that are carried out on the territory of Albania and beyond. Thanks to its expertise and supporting platforms, this center manages to anticipate the cyber threats that may come to our critical infrastructures.

Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku visited the center accompanied by the director of this institution Igli Tafa. She closely inspected the activity of this center and got acquainted with the results achieved so far, but also the objectives.

Director Tafa said that in addition to the work being done by the experts, this center is in constant contact, exchanging information with counterpart institutions in the most developed cyber defense countries.

“Our partners with whom we constantly exchange information, for the benefit of the Albanian cyber ecosystem, are the United States of America, Israel, who have always been part of critical or very dangerous cases with which we have shared experience. We have benefited from their experience as leading countries in the field of cyber security”, said Tafa.

Cyber security, said Deputy PM Balluku, is one of the most important elements, considering that Albania has already taken significant steps towards the digitization of services.

The best experts in the field in our country have been recruited by this Center. Some of them are equipped with international certificates proving that they are among the best experts in the region.
