ZAGREB, 13 Aug (Hina) – The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for May this year amounted to €1,652, which represents a nominal increase of 0.6% compared to April and an increase of 8.8% compared to May last year.
The median net salary for May was €1,403, meaning that half of employed residents of Zagreb earned less than this amount, while the other half earned more.
According to data from the City Office for Economy, Environmental Sustainability and Strategic Planning, the highest average monthly net salary in legal entities for May was paid in financial service activities, excluding insurance and pension funds, amounting to €2,511.
The lowest salary was recorded in the manufacture of leather and related products, at €942.
Compared to the average monthly salary for May at the national level, which amounted to €1,451, the average Zagreb net salary paid for that month was higher by €201.
The average monthly gross salary per employee in legal entities in the City of Zagreb for May this year amounted to €2,363, which is an increase of 0.6% compared to April and an increase of 9.1% compared to May 2024.
