Average pay for August €1,324, 11.8% higher in real terms

The average monthly net salary paid in Croatia for August amounted to €1,324, which is 13.8% higher nominally and 11.8% higher in real terms compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the national statistical office on Monday.

Compared to July, the average net salary for August was 0.7% higher, both nominally and in real terms.

The highest average monthly net salary in August was paid in air transport, amounting to €2,222, while the lowest was in clothing manufacturing, where it was €838.

The median net salary for August was €1,134.

The average monthly gross salary for August amounted to €1,838, which is 0.9% higher nominally and in real terms compared to July, while on an annual basis, it wasВ 13.9% higher nominally and 11.9% higher in real terms.

The highest average monthly gross salary for August was also paid in the air transport sector, at €3,252, and the lowest in clothing manufacturing, at €1,085.

For the period from January to August, the average monthly net salary was €1,302, which is 15.1% higher nominally and 11.5% higher in real terms compared to the same period last year.

During the same period, the average monthly gross salary was €1,798, representing a 15.3% nominal and 11.7% real increase compared to the previous year.
