ZAGREB, 20 Feb (Hina) – The average monthly net wage for December 2025 stood at €1,494, up 9.8% in nominal terms and 6.3% in real terms year on year, data published on Tuesday by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed.

Compared with November, the average net wage for December was 0.3% lower in nominal terms but 0.1% higher in real terms.

The highest average monthly net wage was paid in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, at €2,835, while the lowest was in the manufacture of wearing apparel, at €942.

The median net wage for December amounted to €1,280, up 0.2% from November and 10.7% higher than in December 2024.

The average monthly gross wage for December stood at €2,087, down 0.3% in nominal terms from November but up 0.1% in real terms. On an annual basis, it rose 11.2% nominally and 7.6% in real terms.

As with net wages, the highest average monthly gross wage for December 2025 was recorded in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, at €4,321, while the lowest was in the manufacture of wearing apparel, at €1,238.

In 2025 as a whole, the average monthly net wage paid amounted to €1,449, up 9.9% nominally and 6.0% in real terms compared with 2024. The average monthly gross wage stood at €2,016, rising 10.7% in nominal terms and 6.8% in real terms year on year.
