Average June wage €1,444, with real growth of 5.9% y-o-y

ZAGREB, 20 Aug (Hina) – The average net monthly wage in Croatia reached €1,444 in June, up 9.8% in nominal terms and 5.9% in real terms year-on-year, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) reported on Wednesday.

Compared with May, the net wage slipped 0.5% nominally and 0.7% in real terms.

The median net wage stood at €1,233, down 0.2% from May but 11.5% higher than in June 2024.

The highest net wage was in air transport (€2,279), and the lowest in clothing manufacturing (€926). Gross wages followed the same trend, averaging €2,008 in June, up 10.4% annually in nominal terms and 6.5% in real terms.

Employees worked an average of 165 paid hours in June, 5.2% fewer than in May. The average net hourly wage was €8.45, up 4.2% on the month and 5.1% year-on-year.
