Stefano De Alessandri has been the CEO of ANSA since 2018. After graduating in Economics from Bocconi University, he gained a wealth of experience in the general management of media-publishing companies and in management consulting. He started in Publitalia in the 1980s, to then become Deputy General Manager of Magazines in the RCS Media Group, Deputy GM at Condé Nast, then GM of Gruner + Jahr / Mondadori and later of Hachette Rusconi. Focusing on media brands and the integration of digital technology, he then became CEO for Radio and International Activities of the Mondadori group. In 2013-2018 he was a partner and MED Region board member at EY and held senior positions in media sector associations (FIEG, Audipress, ADS and FIPP).

Editor-in-chief of ANSA since 2009, Luigi Contu began his career as a journalist in the 1980s. After an experience at the economic newspaper Ore 12, he went on to work at ANSA in the economic newsroom and then in the political-parliamentary newsroom. In 1997 he headed the political newsroom and was then appointed Deputy Director of the Agency, tasked with the coordination of political information and institutional relations. At that time, he was elected secretary and then vice-president of the Parliamentary Press Association. In 2004-2009 he was summoned to lead the internal affairs newsroom of La Repubblica, to then return to ANSA as Editor-in-chief.
